Overview

MET Healthcare were appointed to deliver the turnkey refurbishment and reconstruction of eight operating theatres at Beacon Hospital, Dublin. The programme was delivered over four years in carefully planned phases to maintain live hospital operations and surgical capacity.

Scope of Works

Turnkey refurbishment and reconstruction of eight operating theatres at Beacon Hospital, delivered over four years (two per year) within a live, operational acute hospital.

Scope included:‍

Full internal theatre reconstruction including walls, ceilings, doors, HPL hygienic walling, and theatre controls
Installation of new UCV canopy in theatre 4, pendants, surgical lighting, PACS panels, pressure stabilisers, and theatre control systems across all theatres
Reuse and integration of existing AHU and electrical infrastructure following validation
Commissioning, testing, validation, and certification to HTM 03-01, HTM 06-01, HTM 08-03, and HBN 26 standards
Infection prevention measures, fire compartment reinstatement, and new lead-lined partitions where required
